Two Hearts

Blessed Mother's Day!

The idea for this song came from the apparition of Our Blessed Mother to St. Catherine LaBouré in Paris, France on July 18, 1830. Our Lady described to her a medal that she was to have made. On one side was to be the image of Our Lady with the words, "O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee." Numerous miracles have been granted to people who wear this medal and became known throughout the world as the "Miraculous Medal."

But when asked about what was on the back of the medal, no one knew the answer. That answer became the lyrics to this song.

We have used this song extensively on pilgrimages to Marian Shrines throughout the world. You will see many pictures of the Our Lord and Our Lady, the "Two Hearts." May the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary bring you peace.
